PLEASE NOTE: It is your sole responsibility to review and understand your employer’s policies regarding your eligibility to participate in trade promotions such as this one. If you are participating in violation of your employer’s policies, Microsoft may disqualify you from entering or receiving prizes. Microsoft is not liable or responsible for any disputes arising between you and your employer related to your participation, and Microsoft will only award prizes in compliance with your employer’s policies.

GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES: In order to comply with applicable ethics laws, government employees and officials are ineligible for the giveaways

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

COMMON TERMS USED IN THESE RULES:

These are the official rules that govern how the Microsoft TS2 Event Satisfaction Survey Prize Draw promotion will operate. This promotion will be simply referred to as the “Prize Draw” throughout the rest of these rules.

In these rules, “we” “our” and “us” refer to Microsoft Corporation, the sponsor of the Prize Draw. “You,” “yourself” refers to an eligible Prize Draw entrant.

1. WHAT ARE THE START AND END DATES?

This Prize Draw starts at 12:01 AM Pacific Time (PT) on February 13, 2008, and ends at 11:59 PM PT on February 24, 2008 (“Entry Period”). Entries must be received within the Entry Period to be eligible.

2. CAN YOU ENTER?

You are eligible to enter this Prize Draw if you meet the following requirements at time of entry:

You are a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia); and

You were an attendee at a Microsoft TS2 Event between August 1, 2007, and December 20, 2007; and

You received a first party invite to participate in the TS2 Event Satisfaction Survey; and

You are NOT an employee of Microsoft Corporation or an employee of a Microsoft subsidiary; and

You are NOT involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Prize Draw; and

You are NOT an immediate family (parent, sibling, spouse, child) or household member of a Microsoft employee, an employee of a Microsoft subsidiary, or a person involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Prize Draw.

This Prize Draw is void outside the geographic area identified above and wherever else prohibited by law. >

3. HOW DO YOU ENTER?

You can enter online if you received an invitation to participate in our Event Satisfaction survey. Once you complete and submit the survey,
you may visit the web site for the Prize Draw at http://survey.confirmit.com/wix/p586870228.aspx. In order to receive an entry in this Prize Draw, you must complete all of the required fields.

We will only accept one (1) entry per person and e-mail address. In other words, two people may not enter using the same email address – you each must enter using a unique email address. We are not responsible for entries that we do not receive for any reason, or for entries that we receive, but are not decipherable for any reason.

We will automatically disqualify:

(1) Any incomplete or illegible entry; OR

(2) Any entries that we receive from you that are in excess of the entry limit described above.

4. WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

If for any reason an advertised prize is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value as permitted. We will only award one (1) prize per person
If you are selected as a potential winner:

(1) You may not exchange your prize for cash or any other merchandise or services.

(2) You may not designate someone else as the winner. If you are unable or unwilling to accept your prize, we will award it to an alternate potential winner.

(3) If you accept a prize, you will be responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize, if any.

(4) If you are a minor in your place of residence, we may award the prize to your parent/legal guardian on your behalf and your parent/legal guardian shall be designated as the winner.

5. HOW ARE WINNERS SELECTED AND NOTIFIED?

On or around March 10, 2008, we, or a company acting under our authorization, will select five (5) potential winners in a random drawing from all eligible entries received.
If you are a potential winner, we will notify you by sending a message to the e-mail address, the phone number, or mailing address (if any) listed on your entry within seven (7) days following the random drawing. If our notification is returned as undeliverable, or we are unable to reach you for any reason, we may randomly select an alternate winner.
If there is a dispute as to who is the potential winner, we will consider the potential winner to be the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter the Prize Draw.
If you are a potential winner, we may require you to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. If you, (or your parent/legal guardian if applicable), do not sign and return these required forms within the time period listed on the winner notification message, we may disqualify you, and randomly select an alternate winner.

6. WHAT ARE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING?

Your odds of winning this Prize Draw depend on the number of eligible entries we receive.

7. WHAT OTHER CONDITIONS ARE YOU ARE AGREEING TO BY ENTERING THIS PRIZE DRAW?

By entering this Prize Draw you agree:

(1) To abide by these Official Rules; and

(2) To release and hold harmless Microsoft and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injury, loss, damage, right, claim or action of any kind arising from or in connection with this Prize Draw or any prize; and

(3) That Microsoft’s decisions will be final and binding on all matters related to this Prize Draw; and

(4) That by accepting a prize, Microsoft may use your name and place of residence online and in print, or in any other media, in connection with this Prize Draw, without payment or compensation to you, unless prohibited by law.

8. WHAT LAWS GOVERN THE WAY THIS PRIZE DRAW IS EXECUTED AND ADMINISTRATED?

This Prize Draw will be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of the State of Washington for any disputes arising out of this Prize Draw.

9. WHAT IF SOMETHING UNEXPECTED HAPPENS AND THE PRIZE DRAW CAN’T RUN AS PLANNED?

If cheating, a virus, bug, catastrophic event, or any other unforeseen or unexpected event that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled, (also referred to as force majeure) affects the fairness and / or integrity of this Prize Draw, we reserve the right to cancel, change or suspend this Prize Draw unless to do so would be prohibited by law and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. This right is reserved whether the event is due to human or technical error or Act of God. If a solution cannot be found to restore the integrity of the Prize Draw, we reserve the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received before we had to cancel, change or suspend the Prize Draw.

If you attempt to compromise the integrity or the legitimate operation of this Prize Draw by hacking or by cheating or committing fraud in ANY way, we may seek damages from you to the fullest extent permitted by law. Further, we may ban you from participating in any of our future Prize Draws, so please play fairly.

10. HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT WHO WON?

We will post a list of the winners online at http://TS2seminars.com on or around April 7, 2008, and this list will remain posted until May 7, 2008.

11. WHO IS SPONSORING THIS PRIZE DRAW?
